Shifting things around

Well, I haven't written on this blog for quite a while. I've been working feverishly on my dissertation, and now that school has started, on the curriculum for my course. I've thought a lot about this blog and what it is now and what I had intended it to be.... it needs work. I'm going to try and define a niche and become more focused in  my approach in an attempt to improve its content and (hopefully) its readership. More important, I hope to write more consistently with a higher level of quality. This is the first step.
